Data owners are expected to submit Excel data files periodically by copying the files to the shared directories for their departments.
Getting Started
-
Validate and prepare the Excel file according to the Data Dictionary format prepared by IT.
-
Name the Excel file correctly according to the naming standard -YYYYMMDD_DEPTNAME.xls- such as the examples below:
20200801_ ISLETME.xls20200801_GUVENLIK.xls20200801_YURT.xls20200801_TEKNIK.xls -
Open the directory for your department.
-
You can use Windows/Search menu.
-
Type the directory and press Enter.
Currently shared directories are listed below:
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\ISLETME$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\SATINALMA$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\YURT$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\GUVENLIK$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\TEKNIK$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\TRACKIT_IT$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\TRACKIT_SIEMENS$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\TRACKIT_YURTLAR$
\\KU-DWHDEV.KOCUN.DSLOCAL\TRACKIT_YURTLAR_CT$
-
Copy the Excel file in the directory for your department.
-
Excel Transfer Job runs daily to collect the data and transfer to the Data Warehouse.
-
After the execution of the Excel Transfer Job, Excel files are moved to the “OK” folder if the transfer is successful and to the “ERR” folder otherwise.
-
The files should not be opened from under the shared directory since this will lock the files and cause the Excel Transfer Job to end in an error condition.
-
“OK” and “ERR” directories are for the use of the Excel Transfer Job and data owners should not access or move files to/from those directories.
