How to set up Multifactor Authentication (SMS)?

  • Enter your KU NetID and password, if it’s necessary.

  • Click to the Next button.

  • Select the option Authentication Phone.

  • Select your country code and enter your GSM number without the leading zero.

  • Select Send me a code by text message as the method.

  • Click on the Next button.

  • Enter the 6-digit code sent to your GSM number and click the Verify button.

  • You can skip the Application Password screen with the Next button.

If you do not want SMS verification for every entry, you can continue by saying Yes to the Stay signed in option.

  • After the Stay signed in option, you will be directed to the Additional security verification page below.

  • You can choose authentication methods from this screen.

  • You can now log in with an SMS code sent to your phone after entering your username and password in applications that require MFA.
