How to set up Multifactor Authentication (SMS)?

  • Enter your KU NetID and password, if it’s necessary.

  • Click to the Next button.

  • Select the Authentication Phone option.

  • Select your country code and enter your GSM number without the leading zero.

  • Select Send me a code by text message as the method.

  • Click on the Next button.

  • Enter the 6-digit code sent to your GSM number and click the Verify button.

  • You can skip the Application Password screen with the Next button.

If you don't want SMS verification for every login, you can continue by selecting 'Yes' to the 'Stay Signed in' option.

  • After selecting the Stay Signed in option, you will be directed to the Additional Security Verification page below.

  • You can choose authentication methods from this screen.

  • You can now log in with an SMS code sent to your phone after entering your username and password in applications that require MFA.
